Macro and micro
nutrients need to conform to

animal feeds and human foods have
macro and micro minerals added to
them to supplement what is
available naturally from the food.
The amount added plus the natural amount
need to be determined by analysis for proper
labeling of the levels in the food.
The feed samples are usually
ground, sampled and digested in strong acid
before analysis.
