MCAL is a chemical analysis facility
accessible by students, researchers and local
industry with the goal of supporting the
Manitoba economy through the generation of
highly qualified personnel as well as
contributing to the provinces research
capacity.
This facilty is situated
in the Department of Chemistry
THe facility was originally
funded through a partnership between
Western
Economic Diversification, Varian Canada, and the Faculty of
Science Endowment Fund.
In addition to providing a
state-of-the-art educational environment to
undergraduate students at the University of
Manitoba (CHEM 3590, CHEM 4590 and ENVR 3550),
the facility supports training
programs both annually for graduate
students and university researchers.
