MCAL has a wide range of instrumentation that can be setup in various configurations. In addition, the facility has the ability to perform standard analyses or to help with method development.

In addition to providing a state-of-the-art educational environment to undergraduate students at the University of Manitoba, the facility supports training programs both annually for graduate students and university researchers and biannually for local industry sponsored by Varian.
