Storrington Township 1891 (click here for 1891 map of eastern Ontario [634K]) I am researching the ancestry and descendants of James Abernathy and his wife Nancy "Agness" McBride, who emigrated from Ireland to Storrington Township, Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada in the early 19th Century. Towns in Storrington township include Battersea.

Several spellings of the family surname have been seen including Abernathy, Abernethy, Abernathew, Abernathe, Abernath, and Abernatha.
