Most of the research contributions have been coauthored with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows under Dr. El-Salakawy's supervision. Most of the peer-reviewed journal articles were published in (1) ASCE Journal of Composites for Construction, the ASCE Journal of Bridge Engineering, which are the most prestigious and most influential international journals in the field of composites for construction and bridges, respectively; (2) ACI Structural Journal, which is the most prestigious and most influential journal in the field of structural concrete; and (3) Elsevier Journals including a) Engineering Structures, b) Cement and Concrete Composites, and c) Composites Part B, which are the most prestigious international journals in the field of structural materials and structural engineering.
