HITCHING A RIDE ON THE T-DNA

1. Replace the tumor-inducing genes from the T-DNA with any genes we wish, from any species
2. The modified T-DNA can then be transformed into plant cells by Agrobacterium
3. Regenerate new plants from transformed cells in culture.
4. Every cell in the offspring of the transformed plant will have the transgene.
