My research examines the extent of habitat fragmentation and habitat loss on vegetation structure and linkage. I will use data based on GIS, remote sensing and field survey in the summer to map remaining natural habitat and to examine vegetation linkages for wildlife movement. These findings hopefully will assist provincial and federal government as well as other environmental organizations in conservation and restoration between Duck Mountain Provincial Park and Riding Mountain National Park.
