Congratulate Ken King Man Siu, one of RIGA Lab's PhD students, on winning 3rd Prize in the Student Project Demonstration on Emerging Technology competition at the 9th Annual IEEE Energy Conversion Congress & Exposition (ECCE 2017, http://www.ieee-ecce.org/2017/)for his research project “Manitoba Rectifier - Bridgeless Buck-Boost PFC”.

New MSc student& Mitacs summer student

We are pleased to welcome Stella Zhang as a MSc Student of the RIGA Lab.
An Undergraduate student, Abhinandan Dixit, joined the research team as summer student from 29.5.2016 to 19.7.2016 with Scholarship of “Mitacs Globalink Research Internships” .
Four Undergraduate students, Jared Prendergast, Jasmin Cochingco, John Chen and Nicholas Aguiar, joined the research team as summer student from 1.5.2017 to 19.8.2017 with Scholarship of “Undergraduate Research Award”.

NSERC Engage Grants program funding

Dr. Carl Ho was funded $25,000 through the NSERC Engage Grants program for developing Power Quality Conditioning technologies for LED lighting networks.

NSERC Discovery Grants funding

Dr. Carl Ho was funded additional $5,000 for the 2016 awarded NSERC Discovery Grant.

University Research Grants Program (URGP) funding

Dr. Carl Ho was funded $7,500 as a seed funding through the University Research Grants Program (URGP) to start a research project of Smart Inverters in Microgrids.
